Streptococcus agalactiae Detection Kits
Mastitis is the single most costly disease of dairy cattle resulting in the reduction of milk yield and quality. The inflammation of the udder is mainly caused by infection of various bacteria. One of such mastitis bacteria, Streptococcus agalactiae, is highly infectious and causes mainly subclinical infections, which are not identified by the herdsman. As a result, S. agalactiae can spread widely within a herd, causing immediate loss due to reduced milk. S. agalactiae is a gram-positive bacteria belonging to the Group B streptococci. Traditional cultural identification of S. agalactiae is based on S. agalactiae being beta-hemolytic as well as presence of group B Lancefield antigen and by its ability to hydrolyze sodium hippurate.There are 2 kits available for the detection of Streptococcus agalactiae: TaqMan PCR Kit Click to expand options Streptococcus agalactiae TaqMan PCR/RT-PCR Kit, 24 reactions Ready to use format, including Master Mix for the target and PCR control to monitor for PCR inhibition and validate the quality Specific Primer and Probe mix for the pathogen/virus/viroid of interest Primer and Probe mix Positive and negative control to confirm the integrity of the kit reagents Streptococcus agalactiae TaqMan PCR/RT-PCR Probe/Primer Set and Controls, 100 reactions Specific Primer/Probe mix and Positive Control for the pathogen/virus/viroid of interest Nuclease-free water Can be used together with Norgen’s PCR/RT-PCR Master Mix (#28007/#28113)or customer supplied master mix End-Point PCR Kit Click to expand options Streptococcus agalactiae End-Point PCR/RT-PCR Kit, 24 reactions Ready to use format, including Master Mix for the target and PCR control to monitor for PCR inhibition and validate the quality Specific Primer mix for the pathogen/virus/viroid of interest Positive control and a negative control to confirm the integrity of the kit reagents Loading dye and a DNA ladder to facilitate qualitative analysis of the results on an agarose gel Streptococcus agalactiae End-Point PCR/RT-PCR Primer Set and Controls, 100 reactions Specific Primer mix and Positive Control for the pathogen/virus/viroid of interest Nuclease-free water Can be used together with Norgen’s PCR/RT-PCR Master Mix (#28007/#28113)or customer supplied master mix For research use only and NOT intended for in vitro diagnostics. .moldx .moldx-box-out .moldx-red { line-height: 1.5!important padding: 2% }.moldx .moldx-box-out .moldx-yellow { line-height: 1.5!important padding: 2% }.btn-mdx-new { display:block }.moldx #ex-hide{ display: block } @media only screen and (min-width: 768px) {.moldx .collapse { display: block!important }.moldx #ex-hide{display: none }.btn-mdx-new { display: none }}
