Mycobacterium tuberculosis Detection Kits

Mycobacterium tuberculosis is a pathogenic bacterial species belonging to the genus Mycobacterium, and is the causative agent of tuberculosis. Tuberculosis (TB) is a multifaceted disease and challenging public health problem in both industrialized and developing countries. According to the WHO, 8.8 million active cases of TB are diagnosed each year and of these, almost 2 million die. Once thought to be under control or even close to extinction, TB infection levels are rising and the threat is compounded by new, virulent and drug-resistant strains. Although most cases occur in the developing world (22 countries accounting for 80% of all global cases), increasing population mobility combined with facility of transmission means that no country is immune from the resurgence of TB. TB control programs are currently facing a number of constraints. Worldwide, fewer than 25% of all tuberculosis cases are detected. Of utmost concern is the absence of a timely and accurate test for the diagnosis of mycobacterial disease. Early diagnosis is crucial for the prevention of further spread of the disease.There are 3 kits available for the detection of Mycobacterium tuberculosis: TaqMan PCR Kit Click to expand options Mycobacterium tuberculosis TaqMan PCR/RT-PCR Kit, 24 reactions Ready to use format, including Master Mix for the target and PCR control to monitor for PCR inhibition and validate the quality Specific Primer and Probe mix for the pathogen/virus/viroid of interest Primer and Probe mix Positive and negative control to confirm the integrity of the kit reagents Mycobacterium tuberculosis TaqMan PCR/RT-PCR Probe/Primer Set and Controls, 100 reactions Specific Primer/Probe mix and Positive Control for the pathogen/virus/viroid of interest Nuclease-free water Can be used together with Norgen’s PCR/RT-PCR Master Mix (#28007/#28113)or customer supplied master mix End-Point PCR Kit Click to expand options Mycobacterium tuberculosis End-Point PCR/RT-PCR Kit, 24 reactions Ready to use format, including Master Mix for the target and PCR control to monitor for PCR inhibition and validate the quality Specific Primer mix for the pathogen/virus/viroid of interest Positive control and a negative control to confirm the integrity of the kit reagents Loading dye and a DNA ladder to facilitate qualitative analysis of the results on an agarose gel Mycobacterium tuberculosis End-Point PCR/RT-PCR Primer Set and Controls, 100 reactions Specific Primer mix and Positive Control for the pathogen/virus/viroid of interest Nuclease-free water Can be used together with Norgen’s PCR/RT-PCR Master Mix (#28007/#28113)or customer supplied master mix For research use only and NOT intended for in vitro diagnostics. .moldx .moldx-box-out .moldx-red { line-height: 1.5!important padding: 2% }.moldx .moldx-box-out .moldx-yellow { line-height: 1.5!important padding: 2% }.btn-mdx-new { display:block }.moldx #ex-hide{ display: block } @media only screen and (min-width: 768px) {.moldx .collapse { display: block!important }.moldx #ex-hide{display: none }.btn-mdx-new { display: none }}
